Which caliber is best for me?
Selecting a caliber comes down to two things: Purpose (hunting, defense) and Personal choice.
For years the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office (where I worked) authorized a 45ACP caliber as well as the 9mm and 40 calibers. They eventually choose one caliber; 40. They choose this over the 45 because too many deputies couldn’t handle the fire power of a 45.
One should choose a caliber they can handle and shoot well with. The most common concealed handgun is a 9mm followed by the 40 caliber. I personally carry either a 45ACP or a 40 caliber, but my preference is the 45.
